For reactive dogs

Reactive dog exercise in Calgary, without another dog in sight.

Your dog never meets another dog here. One dog at a time, in a private van, at your driveway. Built for the dogs who cannot use off-leash parks, dog daycares, or shared spaces.

The pattern we hear

You are tired. Your dog is tired for the wrong reasons.

  • Daycare said no. Walker cancelled after a leash reaction. Off-leash parks are not an option.
  • You are walking at 5:30 AM to avoid other dogs, and it is not enough.
  • The trainer said your dog needs more exercise. The exercise is what is stressing you both out.
  • Your dog is not bad. Your dog is under-slept, under-stimulated, and over-triggered.
What we do about it

A closed environment, a dog-powered mill, and a handler who has seen this before.

The van pulls up to your driveway. Your dog walks in through the side door. The mill is non-motorized, so your dog controls the pace. Twenty to thirty minutes later they come out of the van genuinely tired, not adrenalized.

Walks are adrenaline

Reactive dogs on walks are in scan mode. That looks like exercise. It is actually stress accumulation.

Daycares stack triggers

Even the best daycare puts your dog in a room with other dogs. That is exactly what your dog cannot regulate around.

Off-leash parks are worse

One unexpected greeting can undo six weeks of trainer work. The van has zero of these variables.

Reactive dog FAQ

What owners ask us on the intake call.

How is this different from a dog trainer?

A trainer changes behaviour through repetition and cues. We handle the exercise piece so a trainer's protocol actually sticks. A tired reactive dog learns faster and reacts less.

My dog is reactive to strangers. Will they react to the handler?

Some do at first. We use barriers, distance, and food to keep the first session under threshold, and we do not push. Most reactive dogs settle by session two.

How to exercise a reactive dog in Calgary winter?

Reactive dogs and Calgary winter are a difficult mix. Off-leash parks are off the table, sidewalks are salted, and every walk is another chance to blow past threshold. The van removes the trigger stack entirely.

Why does my reactive dog seem more hyper after a walk?

Reactive walks are adrenaline, not exercise. Your dog is scanning and reacting the whole time. Controlled cardio in a low-stimulus space burns real energy without stacking cortisol.
