Running Remy started with a reactive rescue who could not use parks, could not do daycare, and needed real exercise to sleep at night. What worked for Remy turned into a service for every dog in Calgary in the same spot.
We built the service we could not find.
Remy is a border collie mix, rescued at eight months, reactive to other dogs from day one. We tried three trainers, two daycares, and every off-leash park inside the ring road. Nothing worked because everything put her near another dog.
A slat mill in a converted service van did. She could burn a day's worth of energy in half an hour, with no one else in the room. She slept. She stopped reacting on walks. Friends with similar dogs asked to borrow the setup, and Running Remy became a business.
